After every use, the garment must be hand washed. Harmful elements such as suntan lotions, salt, chlorine, and body perspiration can cause discoloration and spandex breakdown. Since laundry detergents are too harsh on the spandex and the color, use mild hand soap made without added moisturizers. Do not wring the swimsuit to remove excess water. Lay it flat on a towel and roll the towel up and squeeze gently. Remove it from the towel and lay it flat to dry. Do not hang it to dry as that will stretch out the fibers in the fabric. Avoid using washers and dryers as damage can occur due to agitation and excessive heat. It is also important to let your suit "rest" between uses. This allows the spandex to bounce back (called recovery) to its original size and maintain its fit longer. If you wear a suit without letting it recover, it will lose its shape and fit more quickly. It's recommended to let the suit rest for 24-36 hours between uses. Always remove excess moisture with a towel and lay flat to dry indoors or in the shade. Also note, direct sunlight will fade your suit. It is always a great idea to have more than one suit.

Bike short tankiniI used the suit at the beach and it moves well and didn't really ride up after using it for a while. It fits well and the bike shorts are a good length, and not too tight at the seams. It has decent stretch when moving about. I have a relatively small chest in relation to my size and the molded cups in the top fit quite well which is usually a problem.

Top great, bottom not so muchI bought this to replace a swimsuit that had nearly disintegrated from being used 3-5 times a week in a chlorinated pool. I really like it, for the most part. The top fits well, and is very supportive. In fact, to make the most of my exercise time, I like to wear my swimsuit under my workout clothes, so I can do my cardio and weight training workout, then very quickly transition to the pool. (Putting a swimsuit on when hot and sweaty is not the easiest thing to do.) Also, it's easy to take off, which is something I have found to be uncommmon in "plus size" swimwear, especially if it's "supportive" enough. What I don't like about it is that it's about 2 inches shorter than I would like it to be, but that's not a big deal. I am 5'9" and have a long torso, so it is probably fine for people who don't have a long torso. (Many women's shirts are too short for me as well, so take heed if you have this issue too.) More importantly, I found the bottoms to be a bit on the small side, despite the measurements listed. They are also a bit shorter than I would like. However, I just paired the tops with some compression shorts, and I was good to go. I've only worn it a couple of times, but I have already bought another Aquabelle top in a different pattern, to change things up a bit. Bottom line, if you are looking for a tankini or shortini with good coverage and good support, that you can feel comfortable in while being active, this is a great choice. I just wish the "bike short" bottoms were a bit larger, but as I am in the process of losing weight (already 40 pounds down), they will probably fit better in a month or so.
I am new to the tankini look and wanted to get separate shorts and top so to wear the shorts with another recently purchased tankini top. Have purchased many of the Aquabelle suits and like their fit and wear.
I love the racerback top. It stays put while I lap swim. I like the bike shorts, as they aren't loose like a lot of swim shorts are. I do find them to thin to wear alone, so I wear the Aquabelle brief under them for more coverage. The Aquabelle is chlorine resistant, as stated. This is the perfect outfit for me.
I like the look of the coverage, I swim 4-5 days a week will this suit hold up ?

Best Answer:This is an Aquabelle product, so it will hold up for a longer length of time. Due to the care instructions for longevity, please use every 2-3 days. If used too much, the material will not have the time to "snap back" to the original form.
